AIR CONDITIONER PRESSURE WASHER

Copper tubes with aluminium fins are used in air conditioner condenser and evaporator coils. The condenser coil, also known as the external coil, dismisses heat by blowing air outside the "hot" coil over the surface. Then, the coil absorbs heat from the surrounding air, blown through the coil by the air handler fan. The evaporator coil, also known as the indoor coil, is usually called the "cold" coil since it provides internal cooling.

How Much PSI Should A Power Washer Have?

Some electric pressure washers have a flow of water of 1.5 gallons per minute and a pressure of 1300-1700 psi (GPM). Expert contractors recommend a 2,000 to 3,000 psi pressure and a flow of at least 2.5 GPM to clean dirty concrete properly. Meanwhile, expert contractors advise a 2,000 to 3,000 psi pressure and a flow of at least 2.5 GPM to clean dirty concrete properly. A PSI of 1300 to 2400 is often found to be adequate for cleaning purposes by homeowners.

How to Use a Pressure Washer to Clean HVAC Condenser and Evaporator Coils

Although HVAC condenser and evaporator coils are components of machinery used in various contexts, from petrochemical plants and sewage treatment to space heating and refrigeration, the phrase is most commonly associated with air conditioning. It would help if you cleaned the heat exchanger tubes regularly to function properly. Essentially, this entails cleaning the dirt and dust accumulated on the air conditioning vents. It is preferable to use pressure washers instead of wiping or washing to clean it.

Vent Cleaning

To open the grills or vents, use a screwdriver. It will assist you in achieving better cleaning outcomes. It will help to turn off the electrical breaker before starting the cleaning operation to avoid electrocution. Even if the vents are filthy, the pressurized water provided by pressure cleaners will swiftly and effectively eliminate all of the dirt and dust. In the process, choose a brush that is the right size. Also, remember to use a face mask because inhaling mould or dust might cause respiratory problems.

Duct Cleaning

Most individuals neglect to clean the duct walls of air conditioning and ventilation systems. It's one of the most common blunders, as a lot of dust collects around the duct walls. Wash the duct walls with a stream of pressured water to remove any dust collection.

Reattach the vents and turn on the air conditioner after completely drying. Once the system is turned on, start evacuating any leftover dust or debris. Keep all windows and doors open throughout the cleaning procedure to prevent dust from settling within the space. Above all, remember to change your air filters every six months.

Choose pressure washers with flow rates of 2 GPM and pressure levels of 1000 PSI for the greatest results while cleaning HVAC condenser and evaporator coils.
