Building Your Kit
Most pros buy a "Ready-to-Run" bundle to save time. A complete setup typically includes:
- The Washer: 17L "Tradie" or "Maxi" (for cordless freedom).
- The Catch Bag: A Hydrobag to catch all waste water (essential for indoor units).
- The Chemistry: Coil-safe cleaner that won't strip protective coatings.
Tip: Check our Spare Parts for longer wands and 45-degree nozzles to reach behind awkward units.
Common Questions
1. Is the pressure safe for delicate fins?
Yes. The standard "Tradie" model operates at approx 43-130 PSI (similar to a garden hose), which is ideal for rinsing coils without bending fins. The "Maxi" has adjustable pressure up to 290 PSI for tougher outdoor condensers.
2. How long does the battery last?
The Tradie (Lead Acid) runs for approx 30 mins continuous spray (about 5 full tanks). The Maxi (Lithium) comes with swappable batteries for effectively unlimited runtime.
3. Can I use hot water?
Hydrocell pumps are rated for cold or warm water (max ~40°C). Do not fill with boiling water as it may damage the internal seals and pump diaphragm.
Note: No license is required to clean coils with water. However, handling refrigerant requires a valid ARCtick Licence.
