Description
The Testo 300 Pro Combustion Analyzer is purpose-built for heating engineers who need to quickly and accurately assess heating systems multiple times a day. It combines proven measurement technology with a modern Smart-Touch display, making light work of flue gas, draft, pressure, ambient CO, and differential temperature readings.
You know the drill: on a busy day, you need gear that just works, especially when you're up on a roof or in a tight boiler room. This unit is designed for heavy use in Australian conditions, providing reliable readings without fuss.
Best For
- Heating engineers and technicians
- HVAC service and maintenance teams
- Apprentices learning combustion analysis
Compatibility
This analyzer is specifically designed for detailed combustion measurement on a wide range of heating systems. It comes equipped with sensors for O2, H2-compensated CO up to 30,000 ppm, and NO, suitable for most common heating applications. If you're running a different model or specific industrial setup, check the required measurement ranges and probe types before ordering.
Features
- Integrated O2, H2-compensated CO (up to 30,000 ppm), and NO sensors for comprehensive flue gas analysis.
- LongLife sensors for O2 and CO with up to 6 years service life, plus automatic sensor protection.
- Smart-Touch display and intuitive menus for fast, smartphone-like operation.
- Integrated draft and gas zeroing without removing the probe, saving time on the job.
- Magnetic holder for easy fixing to boilers or metal surfaces during measurements.
- On-site documentation with customer signatures and e-mail report functionality via WiFi hotspot.

Using It on the Job
- Initial Setup: Power on the analyzer. The standby mode ensures it's ready to measure almost instantly, saving precious time between jobs.
- Probe Connection & Zeroing: Select the appropriate flue gas probe (ordered separately) and attach it. Perform an integrated draft and gas zeroing; no need to remove the probe from the flue.
- Secure Placement: Use the integrated magnets to fix the analyzer securely to the boiler casing or other metal surfaces while you work, keeping it safe and visible.
- Take Measurements: Navigate the intuitive Smart-Touch menus to perform flue gas, draft, pressure, or differential temperature measurements. The large HD display shows all parameters clearly.
- Document & Report: Create detailed reports on-site, including measuring values and customer data. Get the customer's signature directly on the device, then e-mail the PDF report back to the office or client via WiFi hotspot.
- Post-Job Care: After use, gently wipe down the analyzer and probe, and ensure it's fully charged for the next job. The automatic sensor protection helps extend sensor life.
Limitations & Safety Notes
- Probes for specific measurements (e.g., flue gas, ambient CO, clamp temperature) are sold separately. This unit is the analyzer only.
- Always refer to the manufacturer's instruction manual for full operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Ensure proper ventilation when working on combustion systems and always wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- While robust, avoid dropping the instrument or exposing it to extreme impacts, which can affect sensor calibration.
Tradie Pro Tip: Get into the habit of performing the integrated draft and gas zeroing every single time. It takes seconds and ensures your readings are spot on, saving you a potential callback later.
Pair With
Pair the Testo 300 Pro with a suitable flue gas probe, clamp temperature probes, or an ambient CO probe from HVAC Shop for a complete heating system analysis kit. Don't forget a protective case to keep your investment safe on the ute.
